Join us on Thursday 23rd June at 7pm as Quince Honey Farm hosts 2 educational talks, inspired by 2 exciting events happening in June - the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and World Environment Day.

'Queens of the Natural World' - to celebrate the month of our own Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, this talk will explore the role of other queens that inhabit our planet, looking at queen animals in nature and how eusocial insects have helped us improve and enhance our own societies. Talk delivered by George Belcher-Truss, Beekeeper and Environmental Monitoring Officer at the Environment Agency

'Introducing the North Devon Biosphere' - North Devon UNESCO Biosphere is a place of rich natural and cultural heritage in a diverse landscape. Find out more about the work of the North Devon Biosphere and how you can contribute, including the Nature Recovery Plan and the Pledge for Nature project. A chance to celebrate and learn how you can experience the best of our UNESCO Biosphere here in North Devon. Talk delivered by Sarah Jordan and Emily Willoughby, Nature Tourism Officer, Biosphere Business Partner Coordinator and Pledge for Nature Coordinator at North Devon UNESCO Biosphere

Date and time: Thursday 23rd June 2022 7pm – 9pm (doors open at 6:30pm, interval included)

Cost: £5 per ticket (includes access to the Nectar Gardens from 6:30 - 7pm)

Other information: Refreshments, including hot and cold drinks and cake, will be available to purchase from the Nectary Restaurant. Car parking is free.
