This beautiful painted bear arrived at The Porthole Cafe, Marine Drive, Woolacombe yesterday, as part of the Children's Hospice South West Bear Hunt!
What an incredible view he has of one of the UK's best beaches! This bear, Brody, was painted by artist Sally Rich, and is covered in some of the sights and sounds that a bear would see in it's natural environment. The Porthole will be donating 10p to the Children's Hospice South West from every hot chocolate sold whilst Brody is with them.
25 bears, all individually painted by local artists, will form a series of mini art trails in and around Barnstaple, Bideford, Torrington and Ilfracombe.
A special app will be available to download on the Bear Hunt website to help you track down all the bears, find out more about the artists, and create your very own virtual bear collection!
If you love the artwork on Brody, then pop in to the TIC as we sell greetings cards by the artist, Sally Rich!
(Note, parking on Marine Drive is free - until mid-March!)
