The Porthole Loop Woolacombe National Trust Footpath Marine Drive

The Porthole Loop is a relatively recent addition to our wonderful network of footpaths. The path starts at Apple Tree Corner on Marine Drive, just before The Porthole, and takes you up behind the cafe, before descending back down to Marine Drive, further along the dirt track. Walk back along the car park to make this a circular walk, stopping off on your way back at The Porthole for a cuppa or a delicious lunch! Look out for the CHSW painted bear sculpture whilst you are there … you can’t miss it! This walk takes about half an hour, but can be extended to include a walk along the beach, or through the dunes. 

Wellies or walking boots recommended as it’s a bit muddy at the moment!

Note, Marine Drive Car Park is currently free (until mid-March), so a good time to check out this lovely walk that offers stunning views over the beach towards both Baggy Point and Morte Point.
