RHS Rosemoor Open Weekend March 2025 Great Torrington North Devon

Locals can visit RHS Garden Rosemoor for just £1 on Community Open Weekend 1-2 March

Every year RHS Rosemoor opens its doors to anyone who lives near the famous gardens for a nominal charge or £1 per person, which is returned as a catering voucher on arrival. This year, this special Community Open Weekend falls on 1-2 March, at the start of spring.

Visitors can relax on a peaceful lakeside stroll and admire the sunny swathes of daffodils as they go. The magnolias will be magnificent and the subtle scent of wisteria blooms will also delight. Seek out the first burst of blossom in the Cherry Garden and find an amazing variety of rhododendrons and camellias in the Upper Woodland Walk.

Families can also enjoy the brand new ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ garden adventure, an interactive trail on in the lower Woodland Walk which re-enacts some of the adventures of the iconic Little Nutbrown Hare while exploring the many colours, textures and shapes found in nature.

This year there is even more for guests to enjoy - South West Event Management CIC are hosting a Wedding Fayre in the Garden Room the same weekend. Here you can admire models showcasing gowns and meet top quality, local wedding suppliers; whether you are looking for a florist, wedding cake, wedding dress, stationery, entertainment, favours, caterer, celebrant, car, photographer or hair stylist! Grab a map and explore RHS Rosemoor’s many ceremony locations dotted throughout the beautiful gardens.

The limited number of £1 tickets for the Community Open Weekend are available on a first come first served basis online so pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. If you do not have a booking, normal garden admission prices will apply. https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/rosemoor/viewevent?EFID=151&ESRC=CMS

If you are not able to visit that weekend, the gardens are hosting a Spring Flower Showcase 8 - 9 March and the Alpine Society Show, 22 March. Whilst you will have to pay full admission if you arrive and pay on these dates (if you are not a member), you can now save up to 25% on entry with a newly introduced advance booking discount, available online only. The RHS is also helping to get more children get closer to nature by reducing ticket prices for 5-16 years to £5 (under-fives continue to go free) starting this Half Term.
