Please be aware of this road closure that started today … buses to Braunton and connections on to Croyde will be impacted. The 303 to Barnstaple will be running via the Muddiford Road at the normal times … the bus company will endeavour to minimise delays.
ORD2302898: Drainage Works
Devon Highways will be undertaking drainage works on the road from Twitchen Cross to Trimstone Cross, and the road from Mullacott Cross to Twitchen Cross from Monday 16th September - Friday 11th October 2024.
Due to the nature of the works, a road closure is required and the diversionary route for traffic will be signposted and advance signs will be placed on the Highway. Emergency access will be maintained, as well as access for residents within the closure. The closure will be lifted on Saturday 21st September 2024, as this is the date of the Barnstaple Carnival, part of which takes part on the diversion route.
Please see the road closure and works area highlighted in red on the map; there will be a signed diversion route which is shown on the map in blue. Drivers with local knowledge will be able to use alternative side roads, but these will not be publicly advertised for safety.
