Community event - supporting the North Devon Hospice
The “Vessels of Life” memorial sculptural event is to remember loved ones no longer with us. A unique hand sculpted eco-clay “Vessel” that can hold a little organic memento of your loved one, then can be placed on the beach together. With the tide the sculptures will turn back into the raw materials from whence it came.
Together we can watch the sun setting over the siting. You are warmly invited with your family and friends, to join us this year at Woolacombe beach on Sunday 11th September, from 6.30pm. There will be special acoustic performances by 5 Man Down, Stagecoach North Devon & Russell Bave.
Artist Statement
With “Vessels of Life” I want to celebrate the human life, the marks people make on the world. Treasure the person, the small scale, the community and the water; whatever is made out of caring. Respecting the lives people have built and their families. Finding the beauty in memories made together by the sea.
