We are delighted to be able to offer a variety of mobility equipment to help people access our fabulous beach!
We now have two beach wheelchairs; our original Wheeleez wheelchair (on the right handside of the photo), and a Hippocampe wheelchair (on the left). These are both suitable for accessing the beach, and the Hippocampe can also be taken in to very shallow sea. They are free to hire, although we would welcome a donation to help towards our costs.
Our Tramper (centre), is an all terrain mobility scooter. Whilst great for accessing the beach, it also has two other routes that it can be taken on. To hire it, you would need to be a member of the Countryside Mobility Scheme - you can do this with us at the Tourist Information Centre. There are 3 different membership options ranging from £3-£15. There is also a hire fee of £5 for a 2 hour session.
